Posterior Tibial Artery

Tibialis posterior is one of the two branches are divided into the popliteal artery at the end of the trip, the other branch is the anterior tibial artery. Descend vertically, covering the back of the leg, parallel to the tibial nerve and muscle irrigate with oxygenated blood, bones and ligaments of the foot and the plantar foot. At the back of the middle of the foot, the posterior tibial artery branches project important: fibular artery (or peroneal). After reaching the inside of the foot, below the ankle, the posterior tibial artery bifurcates into the lateral plantar artery plantar middle.
